“Made in Thailand.” What does that mean to you? Perception of quality of products manufactured in Thailand differs greatly around the world. This study from Statista showed how much of a difference there is (see below).
Perception of quality of “Made in Thailand” products is very high in certain countries, such as Vietnam, Egypt and Pakistan. 72% of respondents in Vietnam, for example, rated products that were made in Thailand as being “positive” or “slightly positive.”
Perception was low in several European countries, such as Switzerland, Germany and Austria. In the latter country, on 7% of respondents had a positive perception of products made in Thailand.
