As the stage is setting up for the big event on 24th February, all cinephiles are frantically searching for websites where they can stream the Best Picture nominated movies and make a guess of the winner. Vice

Vice

From Adam McKay, the man behind The Big Short, comes Vice, which is another spitting takedown of recent American history. The story is about Dick Cheney, the former famous vice president when George Bush was in power. It is true that the movie did not receive much praises from critics. However, MaKay’s different stylistic choice and as usual an extremely committed performance by Christian Bale helped this movie to stand out. From mocking end credits to Shakespearean dialogue, it is definitely not your average Hollywood biopic. The movie is also nominated for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Film Editing and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. This movie is still in some theaters and home media release date has not be announced yet. However, you can stream this movie in Youtube, Google Play and Amazon Video.

Bradley Cooper has very well established himself as one of the best actors of this generation, so when besides acting in A Star is Born, when he announced that he will be directing the movie as well, everyone was shocked. The movie happens to be a remake of an old Hollywood classic and many believed that the movie will not live up to the mark. It is, of course, not even the first re-make of the original.

But this romantic musical won everyone over. If not for the catchy soundtrack, supporting actors and actress’s performance and Bradley’s directorial eye; the movie deserves a viewing for Lady Gaga’s performance as well. No wonder the movie is also nominated for Best Actress along with Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Sound Mixing and Best Original Song. Catch this movie on Blu-ray from 19th February if it is not showcasing in your nearest theatre. Besides, you can view this movie on Vudu, Google Play, Microsoft, iTunes and Movies Anywhere.
