Bradley Cooper has very well established himself as one of the best actors of this generation, so when besides acting in A Star is Born, when he announced that he will be directing the movie as well, everyone was shocked. The movie happens to be a remake of an old Hollywood classic and many believed that the movie will not live up to the mark. It is, of course, not even the first re-make of the original.

But this romantic musical won everyone over. Alfonso Cuarón has painted a beautiful yet personal look into the everyday life of a middle-class maid living during the 1970s. This movie is still in some theatres thanks to the wins at the PGA and The Golden Globes.
