I made a promise to myself to start running again and I’m setting a personal goal of running a half marathon this year. For a while I thought about running a full marathon but that’s just too long and I don’t have the time to do all the training. But a half marathon seems a lot easier so I’m going to give it a shot. I just need to get a good half marathon training plan together and then get out there and do a lot of running over the next several weeks. I’m kind of excited about it!
I did some research on training for a half marathon and I found some good advice. I think I’ll follow it!
Right now I’m thinking of doing a 5K or a 10K first to get a feel for the racing. I think in 10 or 12 weeks I can run the full distance of a half marathon without any problems.
